James Lovelock

James Lovelock is the inventor of the microwave oven, the electron capture detector and the Gaia hypothesis. He is the author of Gaia, The Practical Science of Planetary Medicine (Gaia Books, £16.99). His autobiography Homage to Gaia is published by Oxford Press.
