Online Access for Members - Frequently Asked Questions

If you are a current member of The Resurgence Trust you can have unlimited online access to all the magazine archives. This includes Resurgence magazine (1966-2012), Resurgence & Ecologist magazine (2012 onwards) and The Ecologist magazine (1970-2012).

How do I get online access?

If you are an e-member, or if you bought a print membership via the Resurgence web site, then you will already have an account which gives you online access. You simply need to sign in to your account on the web site using your email address and password. For more information, see Help with my account and signing in.

If you're a member receiving printed copies of Resurgence & Ecologist magazine, but you didn't buy your membership via the web site, then you can go to the claim online access page and provide your details. Once you have sucessfully claimed online access, we'll send you a password which you can use to sign in to an account on the web site, which will give you access.

What details do I need to provide to claim online access?

When you go to the claim online access page, you will be asked to provide your email address, and other information to help us match you up with your details from our membership system.

The details we will ask for will vary according to the circumstances:

If you provide us with an email address which you have supplied to us previously, then you will only need you to enter your surname.
If your email address is not one which we already have on our records, then we will need you to provide your surname and your membership number.
If for any reason we cannot match the surname and membership number you provide with a current membership, then we will need to ask you for some additional details: first name, phone number, and postcode.

How do I find my membership number?

Your membership number is printed alongside your address on the envelope used to send your issues of Resurgence & Ecologist magazine through the post. It is also included in other correspondence sent to you by the membership department.

What if I dont have my membership number?

You can request your membership number by emailing [email protected], or tel: +44 (0) 1237 441293 (Mon-Thu, 9-5). Please include your name and postcode in your correspondence.

How long does it take to get my online access claim approved?

If you can provide us with a matching surname plus email address or membership number, then your claim will be approved immediately.

If we cannot find a membership which matches the surname/email/membership number you've provided, then we will need to assess your claim manually. This may take up to 5 working days.

Once your claim is approved, we'll send you an email with your password.

What about gift memberships?

If you have received a gift membership from someone, then you can claim online access as described above.

If you have purchased gift membership for someone else, then this does not make you a member of the Resurgence Trust, so you are not eligible to claim online access - unless you also have a membership of your own.
