The Silent Culprit

Compound interest runs contrary to the laws of Nature, forcing growth upon its host in a way that is reminiscent of some forms of cancer. 1,400 years ago the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told his followers, “Though usury be much, it always leads to utter poverty.” In modern times, the destructive force of interest-based finance has been magnified by a subtle corruption in the monetary system. Among its consequences is a global degradation of the environment.
