Wendy French’s new volume of poems, Thinks Itself a Hawk, comes out of a community initiative to bring the creative power of language into the mainstream of daily life by enhancing the quality of care for cancer patients. Her book is simply dedicated to “cancer sufferers and those who care for them the world over”.
