The first demand of Extinction Rebellion is that the media and the government tell the truth about the environmental crisis. Some headway has been made since our call to action in October 2018, but much of the press is still far behind where it should be. For this reason we have decided to launch our own newspaper.
The Hourglass will be a free-to-read fortnightly newspaper with a print run of 100,000. It will be distributed by Rebels throughout the UK and printed on recycled paper. Printing is coldset (using no chemicals and no heating) and the ink is vegetable-based.
