Registration and Log In - Frequently Asked Questions

You may use this website without registering. However, registration has benefits.

What does it mean ‘register’ with the website?

Registration means providing us with your name, email address and contact details.

What does it mean to ‘login’?

When you register, we will provide you with a password, by email. When you visit the web site again in the future, you can enter your email address and password on the login page in order to identify yourself, and gain the benefits of registration.

What are the benefits?

When you register we will give you free online access to a recent sample copy of Resurgence & Ecologist magazine. You will also gain free online access to the archive of Ecologist Magazine for the years 1970-1999.

When you wish to make a shop purchase, just log in and you will not need to provide all your details again.

If you buy your membership subscription online, then once you log in you'll be able to access your magazine issues on the website. You will also gain access to the Ecologist Magazine archive for the years 2000-2012. This applies to e-memberships and print memberships. As long as you remain a member, you will also have access to the whole online Resurgence & Ecologist Magazine article archive.

I am already a member of Resurgence - aren't I already registered?

If you bought your membership subscription by telephone, post, or direct debit, then you are not automatically registered on the website. If you wish to purchase from the shop, you will need to register.

OK, so how do I register?

Just fill in your details on the registration form.

The email address you use when registering will be the one used for all communications between you and Resurgence.

I registered, but didnt receive a password

You should receive an email containing your password within a few minutes of registering. If you didn't receive this, please check your spam folder. If you still cant find the email, it could be that the email got lost on its way to you, or it could be that you accidentally mis-typed your email address. The best thing to do is to use the login form to request a password reminder. Enter your email address very carefully. If you get an error message saying that the email address is not registered, then it means that you must have mis-typed your email address when you initially registered. In this case, you should contact the membership department, explain what has happened, and ask them to correct your registered email address.

Lost your password or email address?

If you have lost your password you can use the login form to request a password reminder. Your password will be emailed to you.

If you have several email addresses, and can't remember which one you used when you registered, try using the login form to request a password reminder for each of your email addresses in turn.

Lost access to your email address?

If you registered with an email address that you no longer have access to, please contact the membership department, explain what has happened, and ask them to correct your registered email address.

Other problems?

If you have any other problems, please contact us, and we will do our best to sort them out for you. Please tell us as much detail about the problem as possible: the date and time of the problem, which page, what was the error message (if any). Please include your full name, the email address you are using and any other information you think might help.
