My Account and Signing In - Frequently Asked Questions

When you buy a membership, or anything else, in our online shop, we will take your details so that we can fulfil your order. If you wish, you can set up a password, so that the next time you buy something in the shop, you will not need to enter your details all over again. We call this process creating an account.

What does it mean to ‘sign in’?

Signing in means confirming that you are the owner of an account. You can sign in two ways:

If you have a print membership subscription, you can find your membership number on the wrapper that your magazine is sent in. If you dont have this, please contact the membership office.

You are not currently signed in.

If you are a member (digital or print), then once you sign in you'll be able to access your magazine issues on the website. You will also have access to the whole of the Ecologist Magazine archive (1970-2012). As long as you remain a member, you will also have access to the whole online Resurgence & Ecologist Magazine article archive.

If you have purchased PDF copies of individual magazine issues, then you will be able to access these online once you have signed in, by going to the My Issues page.

I am already a member of Resurgence - do I already have an account?

Yes, we have created accounts for all members - although you may not have a password.

How do I sign in if I don't have a password?

If you don't have a password, or have forgotten it, try using the Forgot Password page to set up a new password. (Note that we might not have your email address, in which case this wont work.)

If you have several email addresses, and can't remember which one you gave us, try repeating this for each of your email addresses in turn.

If you are a print member, you can alternatively enter your membership number, surname and postcode on the shop sign in page. Your membership number can be found on the wrapper that your magazine is sent in.

I asked for a password reset, but didnt receive an email

Within a few minutes of requesting a password reset, you should receive an email containing a link you can use to reset your password. If you don't receive this email, please check your spam folder. Also, please check that you entered your email address correctly.

If this still does not work, it could be that you accidentally mis-typed your email address when you first gave us your details. Please contact the membership department, and explain what has happened.

Lost access to your email address?

If you originally gave us an email address that you now no longer have access to, please contact the membership department, explain what has happened, and ask them to correct your email address.

Please tell us as much detail about the problem as possible: the date and time of the problem, which page, what was the error message (if any). Please include your full name, the email address you are using and any other information you think might help.
