Tim Harland, who died unexpectedly aged 65, was the co-founder with me of Permanent Publications, a publishing company specialising in books on permaculture that are now read all over the world. Permaculture is an innovative framework for creating regenerative ways of living. It offers practical, ethical ways of designing ecologically harmonious, ethical and human-scale projects in gardens, on farms, and in communities.
