Warm, ambient lighting. Pints of IPA. The London overground train rattling past the window into a peachy cityscape. Squashy pleather sofas, and a low burble of chatter about the price per kilowatt of solar energy. All signs point towards a relaxing Monday evening. I’m at a bar in Hackney that I’ve visited before, but on this occasion I’m turning up for a more sobering purpose: to watch a new film about the climate crisis called People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by a discussion with local residents.
