In Touch With the Seasons

Dee Nickerson, whose artwork accompanies Carl Safina's article Does My Dog Love Me? in Issue 307 of Resurgence and Ecologist (March/April 2018), was born in Norfolk in 1957. She studied painting and drawing at Great Yarmouth College of Art and Design and has experience in fashion and textiles.

Nickerson usually paints from her imagination, exploring themes of living in the countryside, often strongly evoking the feeling of a particular season. She works mainly in acrylics and pastel.

An exhibition of her paintings runs from 06 to 21 Oct 2018 at the Southwold Gallery in Suffolk.
