Dennis Wunsch

Dennis Wunsch is an award-winning illustrator and designer whose work has been featured in books, magazines and advertising for over 30 years. Inspiring strength, hope and a positive approach to solving issues is always a goal of his art. Dennis features the beauty and complexity of the Earth and its creatures, and the impact our choices can have on the future. Working with the team at Resurgence & Ecologist has been a particularly rewarding opportunity for his creative focus.

Dennis was born an artist into a family of educators and musicians. After receiving his Fine Art degree, he started his illustration career drawing Scooby-Doo and Super Friends for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. He then switched gears and spent more over two decades at several agencies as an art director/creative director, developing his skills while learning from many well-known illustrators.

While currently a Creative Director and monthly contributor of editorial illustrations for magazines, Dennis also creates fine art and has recently begun working on children's book illustrations. He is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

Dennis enjoys spending time with his family and his herd of rescued dogs and cats, while also being a foster parent/volunteer for a no-kill animal shelter just outside Seattle, Washington.

Dennis's artwork features on the cover of Resurgence & Ecologist Issue 287, November/December 2014, and alongside the Keynotes article by Herman Daly.
