Earth Goddess
The UK’s tallest ceramic sculpture, Earth Goddess, was installed in St Austell, Cornwall this summer. The 11.5-metre structure is the work of Resurgence Trustee Sandy Brown and was commissioned as part of a ceramic trail to commemorate the town’s connections to the china clay industry. It has been described as a south-west equivalent to Antony Gormley’s Angel of the North near Gateshead.
