Edward Davey: What motivated you to write your new book Divide: The Relationship Crisis Between Town and Country?

Anna Jones: I’m asked to speak at a lot of agricultural trade events and conferences and I can say without the slightest exaggeration that the same questions come up every time: “How can we overcome the urban–rural divide?” “What do we do about the disconnect between farmers and the public?” “How do we improve the relationship between rural communities and the urban masses?”

ED: Are you confident that the divide you describe can be overcome?
