GLOBAL: ZERO EMISSIONS POSSIBLE BY 2050

The world’s industrial nations – including some of today’s heaviest polluters – can reach a target of cutting emissions of greenhouse gases to low or zero levels by the middle of the century, according to a new report, Kara Moses writes. The target can be met using existing technology and without harming social or economic development, the report says.

The report, Who’s Getting Ready for Zero? has been published by the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), in Machynlleth, Wales, and the London-based organisation Track 0.
