Shocked by the sheer scale of plastic pollution he found while snorkelling off the Cornish coast four years ago, Rob Thompson organised an underwater clean-up with 15 enthusiastic divers and beach clean volunteers. “In two dives that day we found thousands of pieces of marine plastic,” says Rob, who went on to found Fathoms Free and now partners with Keep Britain Tidy and a growing community of divers.
