The title of my new book, Ebb and Flow, was chosen carefully. I wanted to find a way to capture the magic of seasonal living, and decided this commonly used term was the perfect choice. It refers to the recurrent pattern of coming and going, rising and falling, decline and regrowth. It also has a nautical origin, as it also refers to the rise and fall of the tide levels, and, in a way, the seasonal patterns of the year are just like tides, waves and currents. They come and they go, bringing different energy at different times but always repeating the same cycle over and over again. ...
