Amnesty International is appealing for support for Vietnamese lawyer Lê Thu Hà, a human-rights activist, who is feared to be at risk of torture and other ill-treatment.

Lê Thu Hà is believed to have been detained when security officers searched the home of her colleague, the prominent human-rights lawyer Nguyên Văn Đài, in the capital, Hanoi, after he was arrested on the morning of 16 December 2015. She is the secretary of the independent organisation he founded, the Brotherhood of Democracy Association. She was detained in B14 prison in Hanoi.
