Thank you for the What’s in a Word (July/August 2022) issue of Resurgence & Ecologist. An exciting and thought-provoking theme. It was fascinating to learn of the origin of cilia, which sense vibrations and give us the ability to hear words.  I would take issue with just one sentence in the Primal Sound article: “Tectonic plates slide over the hot liquid heart of the planet.” This is a lovely image but geologically incorrect.
